A couple years back I took the fall White House Garden Tour. The spring tour was much better, if I had to compare the two, because the weather was gorgeous.

This photo reminds me of my cruise when I was completely disconnected from social media and for the most part the outside world. I had my camera with me but really didn’t take many photos. I’m realizing sometimes is okay to just be in the moment and not go into photographer mood. All I cared about was ice cream cones, and as my shirt says, catching some rays.
I’m posting this photo because my mom is actually smiling. She never smiles in photos, and in her own words “I take bad pictures.” We’re with our main dining room waitress Jackielyn.

I had a chance to visit the Atlantis Resort in Nassau while we were docked during my cruise. The resort is beautiful! Dale Chihuly created these hand-blown glass sculptures that are located in the casino area. If you’ve ever visited Las Vegas you might recognize his work, Fiori di Como, over 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers on the celling of the Bellagio.
I can’t decide if the sun or moon sculpture is my favorite. I wonder how many hours it took to create these beautiful works of art.
